The managing director (MD) of Nottingham Trams Ltd, Paul Robinson, has been appointed as the new chairman of Rail Forum Midlands (RFM)
Paul Robinson has been MD of Nottingham Trams since 2012, overseeing the award-winning Nottingham Express Transit (NET) tram network. In his new role, he joins the executive board of RFM, which represents 170 organisations across the Midlands and beyond. RFM is the UK’s only regionally-focused trade association for the rail supply chain.
Paul has over 35 years’ experience in the rail sector and is also a board director for two Keolis-operated rail franchises in Manchester and Wales.
Keolis is the world’s largest operator of tram and light rail systems. In the UK, its operations include the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), Manchester’s Metrolink tram network and Transport for Wales Rail Services.

Nottingham Trams Ltd is a joint venture of Keolis UK (80%) and Wellglade (20%). Keolis is also a founding member of the Tramlink Nottingham Consortium.
