KeolisAmey Docklands (KAD) and Docklands Light Railway Limited (DLRL) win ‘Vision of the Year’ award at the annual Global Light Rail Awards.

This was a prestigious win – the award was presented to KAD and DLRL for their collaborative approach in creating one shared vision and strategy – Delivering Service Excellence Every Day.  Presented to them during a ceremony held at the Honourable Artillery Company in London, judges from across the industry praised the unique and innovative way that the operator and public transport authority work together so seamlessly, placing the customer at the heart of all that they do.

KeolisAmey Docklands was also presented with the award of ‘Technical Innovation – Rolling Stock’ as a result of their industry-leading solution for remote conditioning monitoring of track motors and the enhancements this provides to customers with increased reliability. Paul Maynard MP, Under-Secretary of State for Transport, who hosted the awards, congratulated the team on their innovation for the DLR.

Capping off a great night for the Docklands Light Railway, KAD was further recognised with a ‘highly commended’ for ‘Technical Innovation – Infrastructure’ for improvements to performance losses delivered by their Guideway Overlays project.

Now in its 11th year, the Light Rail Awards is an internationally-recognised mark of excellence and brings the global industry together to reward innovation and showcase success.
