This is the conclusion of new report published by Keolis, which brings together the views of leading figures from across UK transport and local government. It aims to move the debate around HS2 to one that considers the practical actions required to ensure connected cities and their surrounding areas access the maximum benefits from the project.

Contributors include Stuart Andrew MP, Bridget Rosewell OBE of Volterra, Jim Steer of Greengauge 21 and Sir Mike Hodgkinson, chairman of Keolis UK.
